This 2 cd´s "London Blues " and "Room To Move " are for sure among all those monsters of classic contemporary music. Is hard not to admire a total re-conception of an entire genre. I´m not saying that Blues are different due to Mayall´s music. It´s more like a break point. -

Purists may scoff at the output of John Mayall. The straight Chicago Blues of Mayall is veering into uncharted jazz/blues waters. This two disc set traces the evolution of Mayall from basic twelve bar blues with the likes of Peter Green & Eric Clapton to a somewhat mellow, horn tinged blues/jazz genre/5(11). -
